View UPitt SQL-SAL Liver Transfer This study set is a series of studies that were carried out as part of the transfer of the UPItt SQL-SAL liver model (references below) to the tissue Chip Testing Centers (TCTCs). The 'Reference Study' was carried out at UPitt as a baseline data set for comparison with data generated by the TCTCs. the 'Training Studies' were carried out at UPitt along with personnel from the TCTCs to learn the methods for preparing the model. The 'Tex-Val' studies were carried out at the Texas A&M TCTC. The studies in the set are a good starting point for evaluating the portability of the model, using the Graphing and Reproducibility tools in the MPS-Db. gough

View Testing of the UPitt Liver Model by the Tex-Val TCTC The Tissue Chip Testing Center (TCTC) at Texas A&M (Tex-Val) tested the performance and reproducibility of the UPitt Liver Model SqlSal 1.5, which is the precursor of the UPitt LAMPS model. *Tier 0: In this tier of testing, we investigated the binding of test compounds to proteins in the cell culture media. *Tier 1a: This tier of testing was part of the 3D “Baseline” study to measure the secretome of cells seeded in the SQL-SAL tissue chip without any treatments. *Tier 1b: This tier of testing was part of the 3D “Metabolism” study to measure the metabolic capacity of cells seeded in SQL-SAL tissue chips. *Tier 1c: This tier of testing was part of the 3D “Toxicity” study to measure the effects of drugs on cells seeded in SQL-SAL tissue chips. *Tier 2a: This tier of testing was part of the 3D “Baseline” studies to measure the secretome of cells seeded in SQL-SAL tissue chips. *Tier 2b: This tier of testing was part of the 3D “Metabolism” studies to measure metabolic capacity of cells seeded in SQL-SAL tissue chips. *Tier 2c: This tier of testing was part of the 3D “Toxicity” study to measure the effects of drugs on cells seeded in SQL-SAL tissue chips.
